How to choose a boarding kennel

Posted by: Tim Berrisford  Date: 10/05/2013   Category: Pet Travel

Recently I had to find a  boarding kennel for Roxy and Poppy so decided to visit a few around the Stoke-on-Trent area. I’m not going to mention any names of local boarding kennels here but the first two I visited were really poor in quality and the staff werent particularly friendly. I just didnt feel comfortable with the staff nor was I very impressed with the cleanliness of the kennels. Fortunately the third place I went to was everything I had hoped for with spotlessly clean sleeping areas and runs and very nice staff and I was happy to leave my dogs there.

This experience made me realise what a huge difference there is from one kennel to the next so I thought it was a good idea to write a brief guide in our ‘Help & Advice’ section so that people know what to look for in a good boarding kennel. Hope this helps!
