London restaurant to hold launch night for dog-friendly menu
A London restaurant is getting ready to hold a launch night for its new dog-friendly menu next week, according to bluebird-restaurant.co.uk.
Pups in the capital’s upmarket area of Chelsea can get a night away from their dog kennels, as Bluebird restaurant launches its ‘Bites and Bones’ menu. The VIP event, which takes place next Wednesday (April 24th), is set to contain “doggie cocktails, canapes and goodie bags”.
The event is following a trend of animal-friendly behaviours in cafes and restaurants, particularly in the capital. For example, the Rivington Shoreditch restaurant in East London will celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s 87th birthday on Sunday with an ‘All the Queen’s Corgis’ event, according to independent.co.uk. This will see customers who turn up with their own pet corgi receive a free bottle of Prosecco.
It was also announced earlier this year that there is to be a cat cafe to open in London next month after the general public donated £100,000 for the facility’s running costs. The cafe, which was the idea of entrepreneur Lauren Pears, is set to open in the Old Street area of the capital and will feature 10 – 15 cats who will come out of their cat beds to interact with the cafe’s customers.
As well as the ‘Bites and Bones’ event next Wednesday, the Bluebird restaurant will also be holding a number of other events next week – such as a doggie afternoon tea event and a doggie morning, offering top tips for owners.
