‘Lord and Lady’ return owner’s lost dog
A pensioner who had lost his dog was left stunned after a mysterious ‘lord and lady’ returned his pooch to him at the weekend, according to thecourier.co.uk.
Gregor MacAulay, 76, had given up hope of finding his beloved pet, named Lady, but was delighted when a mysterious pair turned up in a chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce to deliver his pet back to him.
Talking about the encounter, Mr MacAulay told bbc.co.uk: “The car stopped and a gentleman got out and opened the door and it turns out he was a chauffeur. He opened the back door and lo and behold, sitting beside the lady is my dog.”
He added: “I didn’t have to look twice. I knew by her markings. She heard my voice and jumped out and them jumped immediately back in again. I think she got used to that way of travelling.”
Lady probably thought she would be treated with some luxury dog grooming equipment if she stayed with her affluent rescuers, however Mr MacAulay said he was delighted to have his pet dog back with him.
The couple claimed they had recognised the dog from the family’s missing dog adverts. Mr MacAulay was so surprised by the encounter however, that he forgot to ask their name, however he said the mystery heroes may have been a Lord and Lady from near Edzell where they found the dog.
It was thought that Lady (the dog) may have been carried away, due to the fact that she has never ran away before.
