Meet Lola the new Downing Street resident
George Osborne the Chancellor has caved into pressure for a pre-election splurge – and bought a dog for his children. Meet Lola, Chancellor George Osborne’s new puppy, currently settling in amongst the family living in Downing Street. Lola was welcomed by the public after the Chancellor posted a picture on the social media website Twitter introducing her to the world.
However things may not be as plain sailing as they may seem. The Chancellors other pet in the family has proved herself to be top of the pecking order in the area after attacking David Cameron’s cat Larry in an early morning fight outside. It is yet to be said whether Freya has greeted the new resident with open arms or not. Bichon Frises are known for their loving temperament as well as their cute appearance with their dark eyes and fluffy hair however to fit in with Freya.
George Osborne is seemingly smitten with his new addition and it seems in his eyes she can do no wrong tweeting, ‘Thanks for all the messages. Some early issues with toilet training… but we don’t care. We love her.’
Lola is the first dog to inhabit Downing Street since the 1960s and is already one very famous pooch!
