Prince William’s protection dogs destroyed

Prince Williams protection dogs were recently put down following his announcement to leave the military to focus on his royal duties. This really sad news will shock all dog lovers as whilst these highly trained dogs might have been difficult to re-home as a family pet surely something could have been done to find another role for them within the military.

A spokesman for the MoD said: ‘”It is true two dogs have been put down, a couple of days after. It was entirely coincidental.”

He added that Blade, who also “had a record of veterinary issues”, could not be reassigned to other duties.

A huge amount of money is poured into highly specialised dog training these protection dogs and it is a little surprising that the dogs were disposed of so quickly after The Duke of Cambridge left his home in Anglesey.  We are just wondering what measures if any were taken to look at other possibilities.
