Ten week old puppy found in a zipped up laptop bag
A ten week old bull terrier puppy has been found zipped up in a laptop bag in Cambridgeshire. This adorable little puppy could easily have died from dehydration as it is unclear how long he had been left in there.
Fortunately a member of the public approached the abandoned bag to notice that the sides were bulging and moving and on closer investigation she heard wimpering so opened the laptop bag.
The abandoned dog was then taken to Wood Green Animal Shelter in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire, where he is now being cared for by staff. He will be given lots of love and attention and enjoy sleeping on a very comfortable dog bed until a new owner can be found.
The pup has been named Apollo after the Greek god of healing and will now live with a member of the care centre’s staff until he is ready to be re-homed according to the dailymail.
Linda Cantle, deputy head of animal welfare, said: ‘This little dog is lucky to be alive. Apollo would have been hot and barely able to move or even breathe.
‘We would urge anyone no longer able to care for their pet to act responsibly and call a rescue centre like Wood Green.’
Apollo will join many of the other dogs at Wood Green Animal Shelter where they try to re-home as many dogs as possible, in the last 12 months they have rescued nearly 4000 dogs.
